Capsicum annuum 'Emerald Fire' pepper is a recent introduction replacing 'Mucho Nacho'. Like 'Mucho Nacho' it is a jumbo-sized hybrid jalapeno with fruits longer, fatter and thicker than standard jalapenos, but is more disease resistant and has cleaner, less-scarred fruit. It's 4-inch length makes it at least an inch longer than other jalapenos. 2,500 Scoville units. 90 days to maturity. AAS Winner.
