Egyptian Grass, Umbrella Plant
Cyperus papyrus 'Prince Tut'
- Like 'King Tut' only shorter
- Heat tolerant
- Versatile: thrives in sun or shade
- Also used in water gardens
Cyperus papyrus 'Prince Tut' is a vigorous, grass-like foliage plant with huge umbels looking vaguely like giant onion flowers. Totally versatile as it can go in sun or shade, containers, and landscape plantings including water gardens! Egyptian Papyrus adds graceful, dramatic height to any water feature, landscape or large container. Can even be planted directly in a pond, however, the crown of the plant should never be covered in water. This Umbrella Plant is shorter and fuller than 'King Tut', but otherwise looks the same.
